Del Park, born Delbert Earl Park in 1946, has been painting since before he can fully remember: his mother, born in 1915, wanted an artist son, and he grew into exactly that, earning an art degree with a painting concentration, a teaching credential, and a master's degree along the way. Oil is his preferred medium, and his Smoker Series traces back to childhood, watching the way cigarette smoke curled and moved and never sat still. He's still painting in retirement (his wife has final say on how the pieces get framed), and you can see more of his work at delparkart.com.
